Composite tension insulator

Composite tensioned insulators are composed of a fiberglass core rod and a hydrophobic HTV silicone rubber shed, providing excellent antifouling properties and weighing only a fraction of electrical porcelain. FXBW Series coverage 10-500 kV, mechanical load 70-530 kN.

FAQ

Frequently asked questions

  • What ratings are available for Composite tension insulator?

Composite tension insulator are supplied across 10–220 kV, 70–210 kN. Send us your line voltage, span tension and creepage requirement and our engineers will size the right model with margin.

  • Which Composite tension insulator models can I order?

Catalogue models include FXBW-10/70, FXBW-35/100, FXBW-110/120, FXBW-220/210. Custom dimensions, shed profiles, creepage extension and connection markings are available on request.

  • Can Composite tension insulator be supplied for coastal or heavy-pollution lines?

Yes. We raise creepage distance and offer fog / anti-pollution profiles or hydrophobic silicone housings, sized to your site pollution class — typically class III to IV near the coast.

  • How do I request a quotation and what is the lead time for Composite tension insulator?

Email your specifications — voltage, mechanical load, creepage, environment, quantity and INCOTERM — to support@insulatorx.com. We reply within one business day; lead time is 4 to 6 weeks for standard models and 8 to 14 weeks for custom designs, shipped EXW / FOB / CIF / DDP.
